It is a violation of the Pregnancy Act for one to be terminated because of a pregnancy. You may file a complaint with the New York City Commission on Human Rights or the NY State Div. of Human Rights and the EEOC. In addition, you should contact an attorney to evaluate your case for possible private legal action.

You should most certainly contact an attorney for a case evaluation. Such a case would normally be on a contingency basis, meaning no cost to you unless you receive a payment. We would be happy to speak/meet with you to discuss this. We can be reached M-F at 212-319-7600. If you call, please ask for Christopher Brennan of our office
