hi my name is tracey i was reacently lay off from my job of 3yrs and due to down sizing in the school but what i want to no is during mylay off i was on marteiny leve and i was still at home when my boss told me she dont have work for me any more is that legeal for her to let me go when i was o maarnety leve

A company may terminate you for any non-discriminatory reason, including downsizing, financial troubles or a lack of work; however, being fired while on maternity leave (or immediately upon return to work) creates a strong presumption that it was a factor in your layoff and that you may be the victim of unlawful discrimination.
