Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

i have unpaid wages from my employer. i have already contacted the department of labor. what other steps can i take/

According to the relevant laws of New York State, you should be paid for all hours worked and according to the normal pay practices your company follows. You should make a demand for payment, giving them five business days to make good on their obligations, and then you consider filing suit.
