Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in New York

am i able to bring a lawsuit against a hospital if they discharged my wife with an IV and did not take it out. ((i have photographic and physical evidence, as i am the one who took it out at home))

You don't describe any physical injury to your wife on account of having been discharged with an IV. Without injury, there is little point to making a claim. If this was truly an error on the part of hospital staff, you might try speaking with hospital admistration or risk management about it. Or, you might consider reporting the matter to the NYS Department of Health. If the complaint warrants it, they do an investigation and report back. Best, M. E. Zuller
