Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in New York

After a visit to the dentist I developed a sebaceous cyst on my face. It is directly in line with the work that was performed. I visited said dentist twice after. Told me I had an infection and once prescribed antibiotics. After growing larger and more painful I went to the ER and was diagnosed, lanced, given antibiotics and sent on my way. Apparently I will need surgery to remove cyst wall and some type of cosmetic work due to the deformity.

Can my dentist be held liable?

Yes he can, if the cyst turned out to be Ameloblastoma. This may be a common dental malpractice scenario. If you would like to contact me about this case, I would be more than happy to discuss this with you.

I am very sorry for your terrible ordeal. Dental malpractice claims are complex and a subset of medical malpractice. There are common scenarios that reoccur in this setting.

You may have a case but I need more information to confirm my suspicion.
