Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

I have a dog (Doberman Pincher), I used to rent a room in an apartment of a 66 years old woman in Brooklyn, NY for about 6 months by now. Few days ago, when I was at work my dog bit her on her face and she was taken by Emergency to Hospital. She has a HHC personnel(Home attendant) taking care of her during a day. When dog bit her, HHC Personnel called 911 but they refused police when been asked if they need them. Now, she's claiming that I have to pay for her plastic surgery and all the damages that my dog caused her.

I work only 6 hours a day and I can not afford any operation. I want to ask you, can she sue me? and Is there any criminal or any kind of charges? I'm so desperate, please help me.

If you have homeowners' insurance or renters' insurance, you should immediately notify your insurance company and if you are covered, they will provide counsel to you.

If you don't have any insurance, your personal property, assets, and real property are all at risk, and you should speak with a lawyer immediately.

If you would like to discuss this further, you may contact my office via www.PitbullBite.com and complete the Contact Form.
