Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York
I have a question on a dentist expert witness. Can a plaintiff's dentist expert witness testify to the future costs of a dental procedure that the plaintiff may need in the future if the procedure is going to be done by another dentist some 5 or 10 years down the road? Or is he/she limited to discussing the need for future surgery but may not estimate the costs?
Thank you for any help

Yes the plaintiff's expert most certainly can testify about future costs. Nothing wrong with that.

To be sure, the expert dentist may testify to the current costs of the procedure. What it will cost ten or fifteen years from now might be considered speculative. Best, ME Zuller
