Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

are trailer parks resposiable for the safety of there home owners?

I live in a trailer park with over 100 homes in it. We are unable to drink our water because it's contaminated; It's been reported to the state with no satisfaction to this issue. We hardly have any water pressure. The manager of the park keeps turning off our water suply because the water mains keep breaking.

Are we obligated to pay our lot rent? This problem has been going on sence 1975.......

It's hard to tell. The first stop is to review your agreement for the lot and services and take it from there. Feel free to contact me directly at 845-878-2163.

Good Luck

You should contact an attorney.

If you pay lot rent, my first instinct is that the owner of the land would be responsible. However, without a copy of the lot rental agreement, I could not be sure.

In order to maximize your power, you should organize all of the trailer owners, and address this together. If you sue the owner, it will be a nuisance to him/her. If everyone sues, it will be something the owner must take seriously.
