Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

I bought a co-op apartment few years ago. At that moment, the co-op did not have any proprietary lease. The situation changed few months ago when the membership voted a new and first ever proprietary lease in. Do I have any legal right to refrain from signing such lease at this point? I do not agree with many parts of this document which, again, was not in effect (or existence) when I purchased my apartment years ago. Thank you.
