Should buyer payer for 1 month extension

The person buying my house there buyer couldn't close when they were supposed to. We gave our buyers 1 month ext according to contract which said on or about date. They had put 10k deposit down. Should they be liable for my extra month expenses? Mortgage,utilities etc?

No, unless there was a provision in the contract of sale provided for additional payment if the closing was delayed.
