Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

My grandfather bought property in brooklyn, ny way back in the 1900's. i now own one third of this....when bought, it was one lot, but has two buildings on it, according to the survey...each building has its own address, own entrance, own utilities, etc....

is it possible to change this and divide the lot in to two separate units....i would like to sell one of these buildings, but not sure if this can be done...

if this can be done, how do i do this.....

First, any sale or modification of the lot must be made with the consent of the other 66% ownership of the property.

Second, it may be possible to divide the lots, especially since there are already two buildings on the lot.. However, I would need much more information than what you are giving me.
