Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

What Rights Does My Mother Have

My mother has lived in a house owned by my grandparents; when my grandparents died my mother stayed in the home paying all bills and insurance, my aunt had the title but signed over to my uncle who died in 2005; the will named another aunt executor via a notarized sheet of paper; my mothers siblings now want to sell the house and my mother has 3 months to find a new place. The siblings want to split the proceeds from the sale equally although they never contributed to the bills nor upkeep of the house. The house is selling for $450K; it was purchased in the 1960's for $120K. My mother's siblings said they helped contribute to the purchase of the home in the 60's but that is the extent of their contribution of the home. As a side, my mother provided the sole care of my grandparents - one an amputee and another diabetic - my mother fed, administered medication, shopped, cleaned. Legally can they just put her out in 3 months and equally divide the profit from the sale of the home? Thank you.

I am not certain who owns the house based upon what you have stated. It is unclear from your statements.
