Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

If a spouse has failed to remortage the house to have solely in their name and they were responsible for all payments according to the divorce agreement, then the house goes into forclosure, will this effect the other spouse financially? And what recourse does the spouse have?

If you signed the note, you are responsible to the lender. Your recourse will be a judgment against your ex. This should have been considered at the time of your divorce.
