Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

NYC 1127-a ticket

Im a NJ driver, got lost in SoHo area in NYC, it was raining and street has construction going on. Made a right turn from Avenue of Americas to Broome str. AT Intersection of Broome str and Thompson str the mobile patrol officer gave me a ticket.

got a "driving the wrong way on one way street" ticket.

i dont have any point on my NJ Drivers License. As far as i know, this ticket is 3-points, and 2 will be applied to my NJ license. Is that correct?

Im not sure there was a one-way sign on Avenue of Amricas (due to construction site there) and weather conditions were bad (raining). What are my chances to plead NOT GUILTY and win, pleading and going to court by myself.?

I`ve called couple of attorneys who can fight my ticket - but they all charge ridiculous prices of $350 and up.

thanx

The quoted attorneys fees of $350.00 or more are not unreasonable considering the benefit you will receive. An attorney can represent you without you being present in Traffic Court. The attorney also has the skill and expertise to present your best possible defense in these matters.
