Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

unpaid traffic violation NY state

Just over 2 years ago I received a speeding ticket in new york state. I forgot about it completely and never pleaded by mail or appeared in court. I did not receive notification because I had never updated my forwarding address. I live in NY and i had just moved within the state. When my license expired I went to the DMV to renew it and found out that my it was suspended. Is it possible that i have a misdemeanor or a warrant out for my arrest? What is the possible consequences for this offense?

You are most likely suspended for not answering. Therefore, you should not drive until it is cleared up.

We can help by lifting the suspension and resolving the case. Feel free to call me at 212@6837373 or visit our web site www.nytrafficticket.com for further help (click on articles tab).

A warrant is unlikely. If you drive with a suspended license, you are committing a misdemeanor - aggravated unlicensed operation (AUO). If you are pulled over you will probably be arrested.

It is a good idea to get this cleared up so that the AUO doesn't happen. We can help you on tickets in upstate New York. Our fees start at $750 for speeding tickets with a suspension, and that includes us getting the suspension cleared, usually in less than a week.
