More information is needed. Specifically:

1. Are you the beneficiary from a will, insurance policy or both?

2. The waiver - is it from the insurance company or from an attorney?

Generally, an insurance company needs proof of death together with information concerning the beneficiary (you). Upon production of both of these documents, the insurance company would generally release the money.

If you want, you can telephone my office and I will try to help you out.
