Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

My child has a trust fund, and I am currently looking for a job with the documentation to prove it. How can I access his trust fund to pay the rent so that we aren't put out on the street?

This question is difficult to answer without reading the trust document to see what payments can be made on behalf of the child. I am presuming that the trust fund was established by someone other than you and that you have no connection to the trust, as the grantor, trustee and/or a beneficiary. It is best to have the document reiewed by an attorney familiar with trusts and if these types of payments are authorized, to apply to the trustee to make the payment. If necessary, and presuming the payments of these types of bills are allowed, an application to a court having jurisdiction of the trust can be made.
