Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

no communication

My mother died August 20, 2006. My brother is the executor of the trust. My sisters are contesting it due to not feeling he is getting enough for the house. I have property in the house I was promised which I can not remove . We are now evicting one sister. We have an estate attorney and an eviction attorney, obviously my inheritance helps to finance this debacle. My brother has stopped communicating with me and has instructed the attorneys not to communicate with me. I was the only one on his side, but I am also being short changed. What can I do?

Re: no communication

You have the right to an accounting. If your brother fails to provide one in a timely manner, you may petition the Surrogate's Court to compel him to account.
