Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

Who is entitled to an unclaimed insurance policy

My Grandfather died several years ago. In searching for unclaimed funds I noticed my Grandfather had a life insurance policy. There are 3 daughters from his marriage. 2 are still presently alive and the third my mom is deceased. Is my mother's children entitled to a part of this insurance policy since she is deceased? I want to give this information to my Aunt, but need to know who is entitled to the funds.

Thank You
