Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

Can Medicaid or the Nursing Home take my portion of property? My Aunt owns 1/2 of my father's house (my father is dead, and 1/2 the deed is in his name, when my aunt dies his half goes to me) She is in a Nursing home becauase she had a stoke. Her insurance runs out soon. Again, Is my portion (my father's who has passed on) in jeoparty, Can Medicaid or the Nursing home take any portion of the deed that is not in her name? Bascially am I protected

"1/2 the deed" means different things. You may or may not be protected and the law changes anyway. Get an attorney nearby that does Medicaid planning quickly.
