How do I search for a missing will of a deceased family member?

Re: missing will
Search in the usual places, safe deposit box, wall safe, personal papers, you know.
Ask the family lawyer, or rummage through check book to identify the lawyers who received fees.
Ask friends, family and clergy.
The Surrogate will store Wills and there is a record at the Court.
Sometimes there is no Will and sometimes it just can't be found.
