Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

probate

My husband passed away 6 years ago. There is a Sears card that I thought was joint and apparently was not. Through the years I have continued to pay and charge on it. Citibank informed me I did not have this right and sent it to probate. What do i do? What will they Do?

Re: probate

Easiest is to ask them to convert it to a personal card for you, presuming you meet their credit requirements. Othwerwise, it seems it must be paid off as part of the estate probate.
