Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

Wills & Probate

According to a narrative Will left by my great uncle, my mother, aunt, and uncle will receive funds. This Will was completed in the State of New York, but each of them live in different states. My grandmother received in addition to the will Form P-6 which listed all the beneficiaries except my mother, aunt, and uncle, but included everyone else listed in the narrative. At the same time, my mother aunt, and uncle received Form P-4 which is a Waiver of Process- consent to probate. We were wondering should we be concerned that my mother, aunt, and uncle as a result of not being included in Form P-6 will not receive said funds if they sign such a waiver or do not sign.

Thank you for your help. Any information or guidance you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Re: Wills & Probate

Among other problems with your post, there is no such thing as a "narrative Will". Consult with a local attorney.
