Legal Question in Workers Comp in New York

Back Injury
Suffered a fall on my buttocks 4 months ago. pain to lower back and hips. pain shooting into left leg and foot. MRI showed advanced degenerative disc disease. Nerve test shows acute nerve damage. Employers insurance carrier now denying further treatment saying that condition existed prior to fall. My doctors state that the fall aggravated the condition. prior injury to same area of back in 1992. Is insurance carrier responsible for treatment? Is this type of condition considered to be a work related injury under NYS Comp Law. Thank You.
