Legal Question in Workers Comp in New York

Monetary repayment

I have been receiving payments from a WC related injury. After 2 surgeries, 3 level fusions in my neck, I am thinking of taking a settlement. They have paid me over 56,000.00 over 3 years. Do I have to pay that money back out of the settlement, or is a settlement offer their way of not having to pay me any more money weekly? I also receive Social Security Dissability. I am 56 years old.
