Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in North Carolina

If you get charged with obtaining property false pretense and get a PJC and pay the company you stole from restitution and everything is settled can the company attorneys send you a letter one month later and try to get more restitution civilly?

Civil claims and criminal claims are separate. After a criminal claim is over a civil lawsuit can be filed. Think OJ Simpson back in the 90's. A PJC is essentially a guilty plea, which they may attempt to use against you in the civil case.
