Your facts don't make sense. If you deposited money onto your credit card, then why do you owe money? What payout are you getting the run around on?

Why are you disputing the charges with your credit card company? A dispute is for bona fide things - like you were the victim of fraud or you did not get the item that you bought. You do not relate any facts which would substantiate a dispute.

And filing a dispute is not the end of the matter. Most credit card companies ask you to try and resolve the dispute with the merchant first. If that does not work, you have 60 days after the charges first appear on your credit card to file a written dispute.

When your dispute is received, the credit card investigates. They don't do much of an investigation. If the credit card company finds that you properly authorized the charges, the dispute will be reversed. You will then have to pay your credit card company.

If the credit card company validates your dispute, the reversal will stand and you will not have to pay your credit card company. Since gambling is illegal in NC, chances of the casino suing you in NC are slim if they are offshore. Nor would they be inclined to file criminal charges (this would be like a drug dealer filing a police report that another drug dealer stole his stash of drugs and robbed him of his drug money). As to whether they will use other means to collect, I cannot say. This could involve sending the debt out for collection and placing derogatory information on your credit report. If this is a tribal casino, tribal laws would apply and I am not versed in tribal law.

How much would be owed? How important is it to protect your credit? Without knowing any of the details, this should be a lesson learned to you. You made the charges. If you gambled and lost, its your problem. You should pay back the debt and be done with it. if you have a gambling addiction, then get help for that. But don't gamble online any longer.

If you like gambling and don't have an addiction, make annual trips to Las Vegas or another casino. Set aside a specific amount of "play" money that you have budgeted. if you lose it, so be it. Stop, come home and save up for your next trip. If you win, stop and come home and invest your winnings.
