Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina

I recieved my second drinking ticket in Boone,NC recently. It is an underaged possesion charge. I was breathlized and blew a .24. This is my second offense and my previous was deffered.

I am a student and i dont have alot of money. What are my best options? How and do I qualify for a public defender?

Call the public defender's office, if there is one in Watagua County, and ask them. Otherwise you will need to tell the judge you are too poor to hire a lawyer and the judge can appoint one for you.
