Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

grown child wants to sue for failure to provide

I lived with a woman for eight years many years ago. We had a son together who is 29 years old now. He wants to sue me for failure to provide for him after his mother and I split up when he was eight years old. Can he legally do this?

Re: grown child wants to sue for failure to provide

No, that is not a valid cause of action. He could sue you on his own, but his case would get dismissed.
