Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

I am having an issue with my soon to be ex wife. she gives me a hard time when I call the kids every day. she curses me out and calls me names. we have been separated for a year. we both have new spouses. the issue is we live in different states. I went for a new job. she will let my teenage son to visit me but not the two youngest children. how do I go about this with living in different states. I want to be able to talk to my kids everyday without issues from her or her boyfriend who has text me for no reason.and left voicemails.what can I do to hopefully get them to be able to visit me? There is other issues with me and her and her boyfriend. ive tried to be nice and be adult about the situation. but im at the end of my rope in dealing with them.

1 Answer from Attorneys

First, if your ex is a 'soon to be ex' - neither of you should have new spouses. As to solving your problem - you hire and attorney and petition the court to force your ex to do right. Depending on how old the children are a simple solution may be to purchase cell phones for them so that you can call the children directly and bypass the ex and her boy-pal.
