Legal Question in Intellectual Property in North Carolina

I used to work for web design company A. In the 10 months that I\'ve worked there I\'ve never signed a contract, agreement, or W2. I want to open my own web design company now. Is it legal for me to include web design examples that I created while working for Company A in my portfolio?

No, not without company A\'s permission. The web designs you created for company A are \"works for hire,\" and company A owns the copyrights to the works. No contract is necessary.
