Legal Question in Employment Law in North Carolina

My job changed to sales job, hired as tech support. I have worked in tech support for 20 yrs. Not doing well in sales and job threaten to terminate me if sales #'s don't pick up. Considering retiring to keep health ins. Question is can I get unemployment ins. in this situation?

If you pay decreased by 15% or your work hours decreased by 20%, you can quit your job and received unemployment benefits. Otherwise, if you quit your job because you are not able to get your sales number higher, you are not eligible for unemployment benefits. To see how you can receive benefits if you quit your job, look up N.C.G.S. 96-14 (1) -(1g).
