Legal Question in Military Law in North Carolina

Upgrade my discharge

I served from 05/29/2000 to 05/11/2004 when I was seperated from the USMC under other than honorable conditions all NJPs no court martials, no drugs, just bad alcoholism that led me to being tardy a lot. They sent me through Alcohol Treatment and I passed and still got discharged. Do I have a good chance at upgrading?

Re: Upgrade my discharge

In order to appeal or recharacterize a former personnel's discharge status, an appeal needs to be made to either the service branch's discharge review board or board for correction of military records depending on various factors; however, I would need to know more details to better assess the situation.
