Legal Question in Real Estate Law in North Carolina

I recently had a title search done on my property . There is currently no mortgages or liens shown . This seems to me to show that I own the home with clear title . Can another party claim that they have interest or foreclose on the property if there is no public record of them having a lien or mortgage?

No, a person cannot foreclose without a recorded deed of trust in the public record.
