Recouping lost rent

We rent warehouses and one of our tenents is over $20,000.00 behind in his rent. How do I go about collecting my rent? We rent in Wake County, North Carolina.

Default under Commercial Lease

I suggest you obtain a local legal counsel. Your rights are fixed by your lease. You will have to file a legal suit to collect. The question is the tenant a corporation or individuals. Unless you have individuals sign the lease they are not legally responsible. Please consult with local counsel immediately.
