Getting license

12 years ago i had an accident in north carolina i currently live in florida it was hit and run property damage only I didn't have a license then only a permit

I am now trying to get my DL and was wondering if there was anything that I needed to do to obtain my license I have already taken the written test will anything show up on my record?
