Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina

Out-Of-State Court Date

Is it at all possible to hire a lawyer to stand in for you if you are living in a different state than where your case is? The case is about driver's license suspensure and whatever comes along with it such as fines. If so, what would the charge for something like this be? (ball park)
