Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina

pleas for a suspended license

I have been charged with 2 driving without a license in a 24 hr period. how can I plead in those cases to have them reduced so I don't lose my priveleges. my license was suspended in Pennsylvania due to a nonpayment of fine that i had forgotten about when I moved to North Carolina

Re: pleas for a suspended license

First, take care of that ticket in Penn. I would need to know more about your driving record to tell you any specific things you should do. Please call me at 252 338-9412 for a free initial consultation.

I can tell you though, that if you were charged with Driving While License Revoked (DWLR) or DWLSuspended (these two charges are actually one in the same), don't just get the tickets reduced to an NOL (No Operators License), which is like leaving your license at home and sounds like a good deal, but it's not because an NOL is still a moving violation. Receiving a moving violation during a period when your license was revoked or suspended (even though you did not know it) will take your license. So someone who was charged with one (not the two in your case) DWLR would need to get it reduced to an NOL and then get a PJC (prayer for judgement continued). Remember you only get one PJC every three years and judges don't usually hand them out like candy.

Please call or email me [email protected] so we may discuss your options in regards to this matter.

Sincerely, Diana legal secretary
