Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina

traffic ticket

My son (20) recently received his 2nd traffic ticket in a period of 60 days. He paid the 1st ticket off and did not consult a lawyer. The 2nd ticket (70 in a 45 and also he did not have his drivers license with him at the time) is scheduled for june 25 court date in NC. Is he in danger of losing his license? Can hiring a lawyer help him keep points off his license and insurance?

Re: traffic ticket

Yes he should consult with an attorney in the county where he got the ticket. Yes he could lose his license if he pleads guilty to a 70 in a 45.
