Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in North Carolina
In NC, how do I resign as executor (live in another state) and appoint another to represent the estate for me since I live in Montana

File a renunciation. You may not get to name your successor. See if the will already names a back up executor. If they are in NC, they can get a probate attorney who can help with the renunciation.
