Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Ohio

mechanics lien

I am a bussiness owner that has a customer that owes me for unpaid invoice. I've tried to contact them but no responce on there part. All I get is voice mail with no one to reply. I wish to get there attention and open commucations concerning this invoice. I was wondering about a mechanics lien but have never used one. I am in Indiana, they are in Ohio. How do I start the process? Am I proceeding in ther right direction with this lien? Come 5/02/06 they will be 90 days past due. Invoice is for $4,300. The equipment is in there plant and running. Do i stand a chance collecting on this?

Thank You

Re: mechanics lien

Get a collection agency to collect on the invoice, one that is national in scope and has the ability to sue in Ohio if need be, or get a collection attorney in the same town where the debtor lives/does business.

You'll pay a third plus costs, but it's better than nothing.
