Legal Question in Consumer Law in Ohio

Lemon Law

I purchased a vehicle and was told that the vehicle had absolutely nothing wrong with it. Within a week of buying the vehicle, I've already paid over $700 in parts and labor and have found that there needs to be a significant amount of work done to it. Do I have a case for small claims to get back the money I've paid for parts and labor?

Re: Lemon Law

Did you purchase this from a dealer or an individual. Unless you purchased a warranty, or the seller actively concealed known defects from you and then lied about them to you, you're likely not going to have much of a claim. Most sales of this nature, especially sales between individuals at "arms length" are "as is" sales, absent a specific written warranty or some sort of fraud or deception. Good luck.
