Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio

I filed a chapter 7 bankruptcy on 12-14-07 and received a discharge on 3-20-08. I gave up all my rights and responsibilities to my home in the bankruptcy. I have received a bill today from the Division of Parks and Maintenance for cutting the grass at that house on 4-27-12. This is the second time I received the same bill for the service. I protested the 1st bill and sent the necessary bankruptcy and disharge papers like they asked for.I also received a notice for a sherrifs sale on 12-15-08 for that house but for some reason the mortgage company stopped it. What can I do about this bill?

As long as you are still the record owner of the property, you are still responsible for any maintenence costs associated with the property. If you were the owner of the property when they cut the grass, you are responsible to pay the bill.
