Legal Question in Criminal Law in Ohio

Accused but innocent

My husband is being accused of molesting my niece. My niece and daughter were checked by a family physician and said to be fine. my niece was also checked by a hospital for internal scarring. So far I don't know anything and no one wants to tell me anything. My sister and I are very close she feels my husband is innocent but doesn't understand why her daughter is saying this.CSB is involved and they told her to stay away from me. This is causing great strain on our family because she is all I have and I am all she has. My husband spoke to the police and they want him to take a lie detector test. He wants to. But should he? And does the government have a right to seperate my family. And why won't anyone inform me of what is going on.

Run, don't walk to an experienced Criminal Defense Lawyer or senior Public Defender. Under NO circumstances should your husband agree to take a police polygraph, especially without having counsel.

One can always take a polygraph, but "undoing" one that is screwed up - remember, they are not trying to free your husband, only to "confirm" their investigation - is a VERY tough proposition.

If you are unsure of how to contact an attorney, call the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in Columbus. They will give you the names of local members.

Good Luck!
