Legal Question in DUI Law in Ohio

License suspended, What do you use for a photo ID?

I've recently had my license suspended for refusal to blow.(first and last offense)

My question is two part. Why do they take your license, an officer knows its suspened when called in. 2nd, what do you use for a photo ID that is acceptable. A State ID Card cannot be issued if your license hasn't expired and you cannot have both at the same time. I will be flying soon and need a photo ID, not to mention cashing checks and other areas where this crops up. A passport is the only option I can think of and those take so long to get and are rather expensive. Am I wrong on the state ID card?

It is a major problem that many have to face. You cannot get a STATE card without then having to redo the driver's test. Call the airline and see what they will accept. What city were you in with the dui? You could ask for a hearing to get that back.
