Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

I have a child by a man that lives in a different state than my child and I. His name is NOT on the birth certificate, but he is indeed the father. My child is 5 years old now, he has helped out with child support over the past five years when he could. He is now denying that my child is his. How do I go about getting him to take a paternity test to prove that he is the father AND how do I go after him for child support once proven?

You would file a paternity action in the county court where your child was born. This would probably be juvenile court if you are not married to this man. Once paternity is established you would file an action to determine parental rights which is essentially determining child custody, visitation, and child support. Because the courts are complicated and time consuming I would strongly recommend you contact an attorney to help you with this.
