my husband and i were married for 13 years, we have 3 children. he left me for another man, and he is on the run from the law. he has felony warrants out for his arrest. i am attempting to file for divorce on my own. he has also left me over $50,000 in debt. can i do this on my own without the help of a lawyer, i can not afford an attorny and i have tried to contact legal aid in my town, they are booked up for months. i am worried he is going to take the children on the run with him

Yes, you can file on your own, but you're probably going to need an emergency temporary custody order to keep him from taking the children. You need to file in the common pleas court in your county of residence. Make sure that you cancel any and all joint credit cards, and clean out any joint accounts with him ASAP.

Yes, you can file without an attorney, but you will probably need a temporary hearing to establish your rights to the kids. I would also cancel the credit cards and transfer the bank accounts to another bank so that he does not clean out the accounts.
