Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

divorce and money

I am planning on getting a divorce after two years of marriage. My husband suspects me of infidelity and has evidence. At the age of eight I was in a car accident and received a settlement. It sat in the bank until I was 18 and earned interest. I then invested it and it grew very much. Can he get any of this money if we divorce? Does it matter that I was a minor when I received this money? What can I do?

The money will probably be considered non-marital but I would want to know all the details. Feel free to call my office for a free consultation if your in the Columbus area.
