Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

How to find brith parents?

I'm fifteen years old, and I was adopted through an international adoption agency. I was born in Toshkent Uzbekistan, and was given up at birth. Lived in an orphanage for the first two and a half years of my life, until my parents adopted me. I am so extremely desperate to find my birth parents. I feel like a whole part of me is missing, and I have to find it. But I have no idea how to even begin going about it. What I have said so far is just about all the information I have. How do I go about starting this search? Please, any information would be greatly appreciated!

Re: How to find brith parents?

It sounds like you face a formidable task. You could start with the internet. Otherwise, you probably would need the assistance of someone from the adoption agency and/or Uzbekistan. Best Regards, Edward DiCato

Re: How to find brith parents?

Have you discussed this with your parents? There are different types of adoption--open adoption and closed adoption and in-between types of adoption. In addition to your parents, the adoption agency that handled your adoption would have information on your adoption. This would be the most direct way to find out about your birth parents.
