what can happen if i get remarried in ohio without getting a divorce from my first wife first?...what if i go to texas?

To marry someone else while married is a criminal offense. It is not lawful anywhere in the United States. In Ohio, the offense is known as "bigamy" and is a 1st degree misdemeanor, carrying a maximum punishment of 6 months in jail.
